2,4-D Dimethylamine Salt can be used as analyte in biological and analytical studies of evaluation of individual and combined management practices to reduce off-site transport of pesticides from golf course turf.

General Description

Brown liquid. A solution of the dimethylammonium salt of the weak organic acid 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid. Used as an herbicide.

Water soluble.

Reactivity Profile

N-Methylmethanamine 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate neutralizes acids in exothermic reactions to form salts plus water. May be incompatible with isocyanates, halogenated organics, peroxides, phenols (acidic), epoxides, anhydrides, and acid halides. Flammable gaseous hydrogen may be generated in combination with strong reducing agents, such as hydrides.

Fire Hazard
