Preparation

Dissolve 2-methylpyridine in water, add potassium permanganate in batches under vigorous stirring to react in the aqueous solution, and after all the potassium permanganate has reacted, add concentrated HCl to adjust the pH value, then boil with benzene for 2 hours to extract the product 2-picolinic acid, and then prepare the Ethyl picolinate through ethanol hydrolysis reaction.
