The Uses of DIHYDRO-BETA-IONONE

4-(2,6,6-Trimethyl-1-cyclohexen-1-yl)-2-butanone is a useful synthetic intermediate. It is a reagent used to prepare moverastin derivatives, an inhibitor of tumor cell migration. It can also be used in preparation of substituted alkene derivatives capable of releasing fragrant compounds.
