Poison by ingestion and intraperitoneal routes. Moderately toxic by skin contact. Mutation data reported. A fungicide. An FDA over-the-counter drug. Incompatible with bromides, iodides, alkali chlorides, sulfates, sulfites, carbonates, hydroxides, lime water, ammonia, golden antimony sulfide, cyanides, copper salts, hydrogen peroxide, iodine, iodoform, lead salts, silver salts, sulfides. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of Cland Hg. See also MERCURY COMPOUNDS.
