1,2,3-Tribromopropane was mutagenic in strains TA1535 and TA100 of Salmonella typhimurium.

Moderately toxic by ingestion. Experimental reproductive effects. Mutation data reported. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of Br-. See also BROMIDES.
