PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
description
Chlorphenesin is a muscle relaxant and antibacterial agent. It is produced by the condensation of glycerol and p-chlorophenol in the presence of a catalyst such as a quaternary ammonium salt or a tertiary amine. Chlorphenesin's antimicrobial action is used to treat skin and vaginal infections. It is also soluble as a skin care ingredient and is a preservative in cosmetics and personal care products. In addition, it acts as a muscle relaxant, working by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) sent to the brain, and can be used to treat injuries and other painful muscle disorders.
