Piperidine hydrochloride is used an intermediate in the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients like anti Parkinsonan agent Biperiden; anti depressant agent Clocapramine hydrochloride and muscle relaxant tolperisone.
The Uses of Piperidine hydrochloride
Reagent for synthesis of:
- Quinoline selenium compounds
- Peripheral seratonin 5-HT3 receptor ligands
Reactant for synthesis of phthalazinone derivatives as topically active phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitors
Reactant for:
- Mannich reactions
- Asymmetric hydrogenation of quinolines
- Chemoselective reductive amination of carbonyl compounds
Purification Methods
