The Uses of MNP-GAL
2-Methoxy-4-(2-nitrovinyl)phenyl β-D-Galactopyranoside can be used as a substrate for the assay of NAG and β-D-galactosidase. It has also been used in a study to evaluate new chromogenic substrates for the detection of coliforms.
