What is Dimorphic SrSi2?
Description
Dimorphic SrSi2 is the first compound found that has the two simplest three-dimensional three-connected nets in its polymorphs. The cubic net of three-connected silicon atoms (SrSi2 type of structure) can be transformed into the tetragonal one (a-ThSi2 type of structure) by a high-pressure and high-temperature treatment.
