Description

D-Luciferin potassium salt(115144-35-9) is a water soluble form of D-Luciferin. D-Luciferin is a common bioluminescent substrate used for imaging of firefly luciferase expression with peak chemiluminescent emission at 560 nm. The ATP dependant luciferin oxidation is catalyzed by the Luciferase enzyme encoded by lucgene.

(4S)-4,5-Dihydro-2-(6-hydroxy-2-benzothiazolyl)-4-thiazolecarboxylic Acid Monopotassium Salt, is a class of light-emitting heterocyclic compounds found in organisms that cause bioluminescence, such as firefly. It produces light upon oxidative decarboxylation by luciferase in the presence of ATP.

What are the applications of Application

D-Luciferin may be used as a substrate in luciferase-based (EC 1.13.12.7) bioluminescence imaging and cell-based high-throughput screening applications. ATP can be measured with a reagent made up of D-luciferin and luciferase from firefly. D-Luciferin may be used and studied as a partial agonist for G protein-coupled receptor-35 (GPR35). Used for imaging the expression of the LUC marker gene and luciferase-fusion conjugates in living cells, tissues and organisms. Extensively utilized in reporter gene assays, immunoassays and hygiene monitoring.
