ChEBI: Beta-benzoyloxypaeoniflorin is a monoterpene glycoside with formula C30H32O13, isolated from several species of Paeoniae. It has a role as a plant metabolite, a platelet aggregation inhibitor and an EC 1.14.18.1 (tyrosinase) inhibitor. It is a 4-hydroxybenzoate ester, an O-acyl carbohydrate, a beta-D-glucoside, a bridged compound, a cyclic acetal, a lactol and a monoterpene glycoside.

Biological Activity

Benzoyloxypaeoniflorin, isolated from the roots of Paeonia suffruticosa, is a tyrosinase inhibitor with IC50 of 0.453 mM against mushroom tyrosinase. It is an NF-κB inhibitor, Benzoyloxypaeoniflorin helps improve blood circulation by inhibiting platelet aggregation and coagulation.
