1-Pyrenemethylamine Hydrochloride is used for labelling of various biomolecules. It is used as a reactant in self-assembling vancomycin-pyrene derivatives as hydrogel with potential medical applications. Also used in the preparation of 25,27-bis(ethylacetoethoxy)-26,28-dipropyloxycalix[4]arene.
