Sodium Decyl Sulfate is an emulsifier; used in preparation of super wear-resistant foamed Styrene Butadiene rubber.
Purification Methods
Rigorously purify it by continuous Et2O extraction of a 1% aqueous solution for two weeks. [Beilstein 1 IV 1818.]
