General Description

Poly(1,4-phenylene sulfide) (PPS) (viscosity 1,400 poise) is also known as poly(phenylene sulfide). It can be used as a backbone aromatic polymer that is used as a highly resistant engineering plastic. It is commercially manufactured by the condensation reaction of 1,4-dichlorobenzene and sodium sulfate in a polar solvent.
