Platinum (0)-1,3-divinyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane Complex Solution is a kind of yellow liquid with a chemical formula of O[Si(CH3)2CH=CH2]2Pt and a molecular weight of 381.48. Platinum(0)-1,3-divinyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane complex solution (Pt-DVTMDS) has emerged as a novel organometallic compound with diverse applications in recent scientific research. This compound represents a coordination complex of platinum(0) and divinyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane complex solution (DVTMDS). It has proven valuable in synthesizing diverse organometallic compounds, including gold(I)-DVTMDS and palladium(II)-DVTMDS. Furthermore, it has played a significant role in investigating chemical reactions, such as the catalytic hydrogenation of aldehydes and ketones theand oxidation of organic compounds. It was used as a precursor of the metallic phase to obtain a highly active electrochemical system Pt/SnO2 catalyst with a low metal load[1].

Platinum(0)-1,3-divinyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane complex is a platinum complex, commonly known as a Karstedt′s catalyst. It is generally employed as a catalyst in hydrosilylation reactions.
