This indole derivative (FWpentopril = 318.37 g/mol; CAS 82924-03-6), also known as CGS 13945, is an angiotensin I-converting enzyme inhibitor. The pharmacologically active metabolite is the diacid, known as pentoprilat and CGS 13934. Target(s): peptidyl-dipeptidase A, or angiotensin Iconverting enzyme; and Xaa-Trp aminopeptidase, or aminopeptidase W.
