4-Aminophenylmercuric Acetate used in combination with heparin is said to be effective in activating matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) in peripheral blood of healthy humans, according to biological studies.

An organomercurial activator of matrix metalloproteinases.
Safety Profile
Poison by intravenous and intraperitoneal routes. See also MERCURY COMPOUNDS, ANILINE. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of NO, and Hg.
Purification Methods
