The Uses of Molybdenyl acetylacetonate

Forms a functional model compound for the study of oxotransferase molybdenum enzymes. Mild catalyst for the deprotection of acetals in high yield. Catalyzes high yield oxidation of secondary alcohols to ketones with sodium percarbonate and phase-transfer catalyst.
