What is L-GLUTAMINE-13C5?
The Uses of L-GLUTAMINE-13C5
L-Glutamine-13C5 has been used for gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) of RAW264.7 cells. It has also been used for metabolomics analysis in p53Mut-parental mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) or p53Mut-MSC-tumor lines.
Definition
ChEBI: L-glutamine is an optically active form of glutamine having L-configuration. It has a role as an EC 1.14.13.39 (nitric oxide synthase) inhibitor, a nutraceutical, a micronutrient, a human metabolite, a Saccharomyces cerevisiae metabolite, an Escherichia coli metabolite and a mouse metabolite. It is a glutamine family amino acid, a proteinogenic amino acid, a glutamine and a L-alpha-amino acid. It is a conjugate base of a L-glutaminium. It is a conjugate acid of a L-glutaminate. It is an enantiomer of a D-glutamine. It is a tautomer of a L-glutamine zwitterion.
General Description
L-Glutamine plays an important role in nucleotide synthesis. It functions as a critical fuel for lymphocytes and gut epithelial cells. L-Glutamine is essential in the endogenous synthesis of glutathione. It is an essential amino acid, which is useful in stressful conditions. L-Glutamine is involved in protein synthesis, wound healing, regulating acid-base balance, cellular differentiation, acts as an energy source and modulates the immune system.
