PQ 401, a novel diarylurea compound, is an inhibitor of insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R) autophosphorylation. Also used as a potential testing agent in the treatment of breast and other IGF-1-sensitive cancers.

Biological Activity

Insulin-like growth factor receptor (IGF1R) inhibitor. Suppresses IGF-stimulated IGF-IR autophosphorylation with an IC 50 value of 12 μ M. Inhibits growth of MCF-7 breast cancer cells in vitro and in vivo .
