What is DMAPP?
Description
Dimethylallyl pyrophosphate and isopentyl pyrophosphate undergo condensation to yield geranyl pyrophosphate, which undergoes condensation with a second molecule of isopentyl pyrophosphate to yield farnesyl pyrophosphate. Farnesylation is essential for the function of a number of proteins involved in signal transduction.
The Uses of DMAPP
Dimethylallyl Pyrophosphate Triammonium Salt is a synthetic reagent in biochemical reactions. It is a natural occurring intermediate in biosynthetic pathways for the synthesis of natural products. Useful for the preparation of natural and unnatural terpenoid precursors of insect juvenile hormone.
What are the applications of Application
Dimethylallyl Pyrophosphate (triammonium salt) is a precursor for a number of biologically active proteins
