What is Cerium Nitrate?
Description
Cerium nitrate refers to a series of nitrate compounds of cerium, mainly in different oxidation states, commonly +3 or +4 oxidation states.
Chemical properties
Cerium nitrate is a nitrate, and nitrate compounds are generally soluble in water.Cerium nitrate is readily soluble in non-polar solvents (e.g. ether).
The Uses of Cerium Nitrate
Cerium nitrate can be used together with silver sulfadiazine as a promising new topical antiseptic for the treatment of burns. Cerium nitrate can enhance the anti-inflammatory effect of silver dressings
Flammability and Explosibility
Non flammable
