Calcium 2-Ethylhexanoate is a Calcium source that is soluble in organic solvents as an organometallic compound (also known as metalorganic, organo-inorganic and metallo-organic compounds).
Calcium 2-ethylhexanoate has little drying action itself but is very useful in combination with other metals. Calcium driers are also good as pigment wetting and dispersing agents.
