What is BERBERINE CHLORIDE DIHYDRATE?

Purification Methods

Berberine chloride crystallises from water to give the dihydrate. The anhydrous salt may be obtained by recrystallisation from EtOH/Et2O, wash the crystals with Et2O and dry them in a vacuum.
