ChEBI: Rifamycin B is a carboxylic acid, an acetate ester, an organic heterotetracyclic compound and a member of rifamycins. It is a conjugate acid of a rifamycin B(2-).
Purification Methods
Rifamycin B forms yellow needles from *C6H6. Its solubilities are: H2O (0,027%), MeOH (2.62%) and EtOH (0.44%). It has UV max at 223, 304 and 245nm (A 1cm 555, 275 and 220).
