The Uses of 4-BIPHENYLSULFONIC ACID
Biphenyl-4-sulfonic acid hydrate is used as a catalyst for the hydrolysis of cellulose to prepare D-glucose with higher yield. It is a better catalyst than sulfuric acid for cellulose hydrolysis.
