The Uses of 4'-Benzyloxyacetophenone
4-Benzyloxyacetophenone is used in preparation of inhibitors of various proteins such as hepatitis C virus polymerase, glucosylceramide synthase and protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B.
Preparation
Obtained by reaction of benzyl chloride with 4-hydroxyacetophenone in the presence of KOH in acetonitrile. Then, the mixture was refluxed for 3 h.
