CPhos, is used as a catalyst in the synthetic preparation of palladium-catalyzed Negishi coupling of secondary alkylzinc halides with aryl bromides and chlorides.

- As a ligand in the Pd-catalyzed synthesis of 3-cyclopentylindole derivatives, dihydrobenzofurans and trans-bicyclic sulfamides.
