The Uses of 1,2-DiaMino-4,5-diMethoxybenzene Dihydrochloride

4,5-Dimethoxy-o-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride is used to prepare highly fluorescent benzimidazole derivatives by reacting with aldehydes. It is used for the detection of aromatic aldehydes and 2,2'-dithiobis(1-aminonaphthalene).
