Ultraviolet irritations of frozen aqueous solutions of BrdU results in liberation of bromide ion and formation of a debrominated dimer, while radiolysis of aqueous solutions in the presence of oxygen yields mainly bromide, isodialuric acid deoxyriboside, and smaller amounts of various oxygenated derivatives. |
