Move the victim into fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration and consult a doctor immediately. Do not use mouth to mouth resuscitation if the victim ingested or inhaled the chemical.
Take off contaminated clothing immediately. Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Consult a doctor.
Rinse with pure water for at least 15 minutes. Consult a doctor.
Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a doctor or Poison Control Center immediately.

Skin contamination should be treated promptly by washing with soap and water. Contamination of the eyes should be treated immediately by prolonged flushing of the eyes with large amounts of clean water. If dermal or ocular irritation persists medical attention should be obtained without delay. Other Herbicides
Use dry chemical, carbon dioxide or alcohol-resistant foam.

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if necessary.
Avoid dust formation. Avoid breathing mist, gas or vapours.Avoid contacting with skin and eye. Use personal protective equipment.Wear chemical impermeable gloves. Ensure adequate ventilation.Remove all sources of ignition. Evacuate personnel to safe areas.Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.
Prevent further spillage or leakage if it is safe to do so. Do not let the chemical enter drains. Discharge into the environment must be avoided.
Collect and arrange disposal. Keep the chemical in suitable and closed containers for disposal. Remove all sources of ignition. Use spark-proof tools and explosion-proof equipment. Adhered or collected material should be promptly disposed of, in accordance with appropriate laws and regulations.
Handling in a well ventilated place. Wear suitable protective clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Use non-sparking tools. Prevent fire caused by electrostatic discharge steam.
Keep in a dry, cool, ventilated place.

Ensure adequate ventilation. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Set up emergency exits and the risk-elimination area.
Wear tightly fitting safety goggles with side-shields conforming to EN 166(EU) or NIOSH (US).
Wear fire/flame resistant and impervious clothing. Handle with gloves. Gloves must be inspected prior to use. Wash and dry hands. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.
If the exposure limits are exceeded, irritation or other symptoms are experienced, use a full-face respirator.

The commercial product is stable for at least 2 yr under normal storage conditions. At 10 mg/L, 12 hr/day illumination with xenon lamp, DT50 is 5.5 days (pH 8.7, 25 deg C).
A cyclohexene, oxime derivative. This compound is incompatible with organic and inorganic copper compounds. Oximes chemically similar to, but more reactive than an amide. Incompatible with strong acids and bases, and especially incompatible with strong reducing agents such as hydrides. Also incompatible with strongly oxidizing acids, peroxides, and hydroperoxides.

AEROBIC: When incubated in Saskatchewan soils at 20 deg C and 85% field capacity, sethoxydim half-lives of 4 and 2 weeks in clay and sandy loam, respectively, were reported(1). Less than 5% of sethoxydim was carried over into the field during the next crop year(1). Sethoxydim was applied to soil comprised of 53% sand, 40% silt, and 7% clay at a rate of 0.8-4.4 L/hr. The soil was treated with sethoxydim on days 1, 3, 6, 10, and weekly until day 49 and then biweekly until day 120. Microbial media of 239 different strains from 44 different species were then fed the soil. A half-life of 50 days was observed when sethoxydim was applied in concentrations of 1 and 5 ug/g soil(2).
An estimated BCF of 11 was calculated for sethoxydim(SRC), using a log Kow of 1.65(1) and a regression-derived equation(2). According to a classification scheme(3), this BCF suggests the potential for bioconcentration in aquatic organisms is low.
The Koc of sethoxydim is estimated as 190(SRC), using a log Kow of 1.65(1) and a regression-derived equation(2). According to a classification scheme(3), this estimated Koc value suggests that sethoxydim is expected to have moderate mobility in soil. Soil studies of sethoxydim have found little evidence of soil leaching. In a field study, the majority of sethoxydim was found in the first 15 cm of soil; samples were taken at day 0, 7, 21,73 and 138(4).

The material can be disposed of by removal to a licensed chemical destruction plant or by controlled incineration with flue gas scrubbing. Do not contaminate water, foodstuffs, feed or seed by storage or disposal. Do not discharge to sewer systems.
Containers can be triply rinsed (or equivalent) and offered for recycling or reconditioning. Alternatively, the packaging can be punctured to make it unusable for other purposes and then be disposed of in a sanitary landfill. Controlled incineration with flue gas scrubbing is possible for combustible packaging materials.
