Move containers from fire area if you can do it without risk. Dike fire-control water for later disposal; do not scatter the material. FIRE INVOLVING TANKS OR CAR/TRAILER LOADS: Fight fire from maximum distance or use unmanned hose holders or monitor nozzles. Do not get water inside containers. BROMOBENZYL CYANIDES may polymerize in the presence of metals and some metal compounds. Incompatible with acids. Mixing with strong oxidizing acids can lead to extremely violent reactions. Generally incompatible with other oxidizing agents such as peroxides and epoxides (peroxides convert nitriles to amides). Combination with bases can produce hydrogen cyanide.
