Benzyl acetate Chemical property:
Colorless oily liquid, with jasmine special aroma. It is almost insoluble in water and miscible with ethanol, ether and other solvents.
Benzyl acetate Purpose：
The use of spices. Benzyl acetate is the main component of jasmine and other extractum. It is an essential spice in the blending of fragrance and fragrance, such as Xiang Xin and Ilan. It can also dissolve rosin, triglyceride rosin ester, coumarin resin and so on. Therefore, it is used as solvent for shellac paint, alkyd resin, nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, dye, grease, printing ink, etc.
Benzyl acetate is a temporary edible flavor that can be used in China. It can be used to modulate edible flavor such as bayberry, apple, pineapple, grape, banana, strawberry and so on. According to the normal production needs, benzyl acetate is commonly used in gum 760mg/kg, 34mg/kg in sweets, 22mg/kg in baked foods, 14mg/kg in cold drinks, and 7.8mg/kg in soft drinks.
