Triethyleneglycol Monolauryl Ether is used as a reagent in the synthesis of N,N-dimethyl-N-dodecyl polyoxyethylene amine-based surfactants. It is also used as a reagent in the synthesis of hybrid carbohydrate/oligoethylene oxide surfactants.
