Denture cleaner, bleaching agent in special detergents.

Production Methods

Sodium perborate monohydrate is produced by thermal dehydration of the tetrahydrate or by reaction of sodium metaborate with hydrogen peroxide in a fluidized-bed dryer. Uses are similar to those of the tetrahydrate.

Hazard

Strong oxidizing agent, fire risk in contact with organic materials. Toxic by ingestion.
