The Uses of Posaconazole-d4

Orally active labelled triazole antifungal.

What are the applications of Application

Posaconazole-d4 is a labelled triazole antifungal agent

What are the applications of Application

Posaconazole-d4, an isotope of posaconazole, was used as an internal standard and showed retention and ionization identical to those of posaconazole. Posaconazole is a broad-spectrum, second generation, triazole compound with antifungal activity.

General Description

This stable-labeled internal standard is suitable for quantification of posaconazole levels in blood, serum, or plasma by HPLC or LC-MS/MS. The antifungal posaconazole is used to treat invasive and systemic fungal infections. As a result of significant drug interactions, therapeutic drug monitoring of posaconazole is recommended when administered with protease inhibitors (PIs) or non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs).
