What is PHENYLENDIAMINE?

The Uses of PHENYLENDIAMINE

Phenylenediamine consists of three main substances, o-phenylenediamine (OPD), m-phenylenediamine (MPD) and p-phenylenediamine (PPD), which are used as hair dyes. PPD is present in almost all hair colour formulations. The compounds are also used as photographic developers and as intermediates in the manufacture of azo dyes, antioxidants and rubber vulcanisation accelerators.
