What is N-Methyldioctadecylamine?
The Uses of N-Methyldioctadecylamine
N-Methyldioctadecylamine is used in preparation of catalyst for polyurethane foam production.
Purification Methods
It can be distilled at high vacuum, but dissolving in *C6H6, filtering and evaporating give a waxy solid suitable for electrode use. It recrystallises from Me2CO or MeCN. [Hoerr et al. J Org Chem 9 201 1944, Wu & Yu Talanta 34 577 1987, Beilstein 4 III 435.]
