Trioctylmethylammonium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide is an electrogenerated ionic liquid used as a solvent during electrochemical reactions. It has also been used to prepare gels with the help of cyclo(L-?β-?3,?7-?dimethyloctylasparaginyl-?L-?phenylalanyl) (1) and cyclo(L-?β-?2-?ethylhexylasparaginyl-?L-?phenylalanyl) as gelators.
