Methyl cedryl ether is a colorless, slightly oily liquid. B.P. approximately 258℃. Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol and oils. Methyl cedryl ether is a kind of fragrant raw material, which has the smell of ambergris and ointment. It is generally prepared from cedar wood oil.
