This not naturally occurring amino acid was first observed after alkali treatment of different proteins. Synthetic lysinoalanine was found to have a strong chelating ability for metals. The Uses of LYSINOALANINE

Lysinoalanine Dihydrochloride (cas# 4418-81-9) can be synthesized from alkali-treated wool. This not naturally occurring amino acid was first observed after alkali treatment of different proteins. Synthetic Lysinoalanine was found to have a strong chelating ability for metals.

Enzyme inhibitor

This nephrotoxic amino acid analogue (FW = 233.27 g/mol), also known as lysinoalanine, is also a metal ion chelator. This property demands the experimenter to carry out measurements at a constant free metal ion concentration to differentiate enzyme inhibition effects from metal ion chelation effects. Target(s): lysyl-tRNA synthetase; carboxypeptidase A; carboxypeptidase B; alcohol dehydrogenase, yeast; cytochrome c oxidase.
