Copper (II) acetate monohydrate is used for the synthesis of copper oxide nanoparticles, Cu2ZnSnS4 thin films for use in solar cells. It is used in zinc oxide varistors, as a catalyst in the polymerisation of organic materials and as a mordant in textile dyeing. Industrially, it is also used as a ceramic pigment and biocide.
