What is AMBERLYST(R) 15?
The Uses of AMBERLYST(R) 15
Amberlyst|r 15(H) is a strongly acidic cation exchange resin used as a heterogeneous acid catalysis and is suitable for non-aqueous catalysis. It is used to determine the mechanism of phenol alkylation using density functional theory (DFT). It is widely utilized as a column packing material for HPLC analysis. It is employed in separation media for Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and paper chromatography. It is used in various chemical reactions like esterification, transesterification, Michael addition, Prins cyclization, Friedel-Crafts alkylation, acylation, cleavage of epoxides and crossed-aldol condensation.
