The Uses of 3-BROMOPHENYLACETONE
3-Bromophenylacetone is used as a reagent to synthesize analogues of Taranabant, a cannabinoid-1 receptor inverse agonist that is used to treat obesity. 3-Bromophenylacetone is also used as a reagent to prepare 4-pyridones, compounds that exhibit potential antimalarial activity.
