2-(Ethylthio)ethylamine hydrochloride was used in the preparation of (syn, syn)-2,7-Bis(N-2-ethylthioethylmethylimino)-1,8-naphthyridine. It was used in the synthesis of N-functionalized bis(phosphino)amine ligands with ether, thioether and pyridyl ethers.
