1,2,9,10-Tetrachlorodecane is a cyclic peptide that inhibits the JmjC histone demethylases KDM4 with IC50s of 42 nM and 29 nM for KDM4A and KDM4C, respectively.

1,2,9,10-Tetrachlorodecane specifically binds to the KDM4A substrate binding pocket. It binds to the KDM4A active site competitively with histone substrates.
