What is 1,2-DIHYDROXYNAPHTHALENE?
Chemical properties
1,2-Naphthalenediol [574-00-5], mp 108℃, is prepared by reduction of 1,2- naphthoquinone with hydrazine hydrate or sodium dithionite. It is oxidized under mild conditions to 1,2-naphthoquinone and couples with diazotized anilines in the 4-position.
The Uses of 1,2-DIHYDROXYNAPHTHALENE
1,2-Dihydroxynaphthalene was used as substrate to investigate the rate of oxygen consumption by washed cell suspensions of Corynebacterium sp. strain C125 grown on o-xylene, tetralin or succinate.
Definition
ChEBI: Naphthalene-1,2-diol is a naphthalenediol. It has a role as a mouse metabolite.
General Description
