Bharat Rasayan is part of the broader Shah Group of Companies, which traces its roots back to 1948 with the establishment of our first business, B M Shah & Co., founded by Mr. Ambalal Shah. Initially focused on trading caustic soda and soda ash, we experienced rapid growth in our first 20 years, establishing warehouses and offices throughout South Mumbai, the city’s main business district. Building on our success and strong customer support, our directors decided to expand into manufacturing in 1970. We acquired our first manufacturing facility, International Chemical Manufacturers, in Dahisar, Mumbai.As our business continued to grow, we outgrew the Dahisar facility and relocated to a larger site. In 1989, Bharat Rasayan was founded and established in Tarapur, approximately 100 kilometers from Mumbai.
