      Apothecary, as a profession, could date back to 2600 BCE to ancient Babylon, which provides one of the earliest records of the practice of formulating and dispensing materia medica to physicians and patients. Clay tablets were found with medical texts recording symptoms, the prescriptions, and the directions for compounding it. The Apothecary stood for hope, trust and care in a world where falling sick in any form meant distressed families and a pause to routine. In other words, it was an ordinary person’s best hope of a cure or relief from an illness. With this very vision, Apothecon Pharmaceuticals was founded in 2007 by Dr. Mahendra Patel who envisioned Apothecon to globally be a beacon of hope and care & provide affordable niche medicines to patients with the highest quality standards. Starting off as a research based company for niche drugs with some of the best talent, we have grown over the years to venture into full-fledged manufacturing of niche APIs, their formulations and some of their intermediates with secure global supply chains in place making healthcare accessible to patients all over.
