PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
description
Lauric acid is a white solid with a slight odor of bay oil. It is a versatile saturated fatty acid. Lauric acid is used as a vegetable shortening and flavour enhancer in food; as a soap and shampoo in manufacturing; as a herbicide in agriculture; and as a treatment for various viral infections in medicine. It is also used in the treatment of bronchitis, gonorrhoea, yeast infections, chlamydia, intestinal infections and ringworm.
